Self Catering Cottages Cotswolds
In the UK, more and more people are realising and taking advantage of the benefits of a self catering holiday. Rather than a vacation abroad, "staycations" in the UK have seen a considerable amount of increase in popularity, and it's not hard to see why.
Price: A self-catering holiday in the UK is often cheaper than jetting abroad for the same duration of time, especially with small children. As a whole, it offers better value for money than an all-inclusive holiday. If you are travelling in a larger group, the cost of accommodation is shared among the group, allowing more budget for food and other essentials.
Simplicity: As you can imagine, a staycation in the UK is significantly more straightforward to organise than a holiday abroad. There are no travel documents to arrange, no need to exchange currency and ensuring your belongings comply with the customs. More often than not, the travel time is less so you can enjoy more time at your holiday destination.
Flexibility: This is not only the flexibility to eat whenever you want, but also wherever you want and whatever you want. Self-catering holidays are ideal for people with dietary requirements, allowing them full control over what is on offer. This flexibility is also suitable for families with young children who may need to eat at different times.
Authenticity: Self-catering cottages often include all the facilities that you would find at your home, such as a fully-equipped kitchen. This allows you to have an authentic "home from home" experience while exploring the local community. Rather than spending time in separate rooms, you can enjoy the communal area and take advantage to socialise within a real living space.
Freedom: Because you are not restricted to designated meal times and meal options, you are completely free to explore and enjoy the local cuisine. This is especially important in the Cotswolds where the local Cotswold lamb is a speciality. You can additionally explore the local area for quaint hidden gems and traditional country pubs.
